Almond Milk?

Is it any good? I drink fat-free Horizon but I’ve been meaning to try almond milk just because.

Almond Breeze by Blue Diamond is really good.

It’s delicious. I love the stuff. Taste like marzipan flavored milk.
I love the one from Italy (”Condorelli”) from Sicily. It’s called “Latte di Mandorla” or “Milk of the Almond”.
There are other brands from Italy also.
Condorelli also makes a mint “Latte di Mandorla” which I was hesitant at first to try but it’s also delicious.
It can be mail ordered if you need info and are in the USA, email me for an addy.
$5.99 a liter but worth every penny -:)

Almond milk is very famous in south India (karnataka)
soak a handful of almonds in hot water for 30 minutes.
Remove the skin and grind into smooth paste.
boil milk and add the almond paste and boil for one more minute and sugar to taste. There you have a dellicious almond milk.

For me it is a toss up between almond, oat or rice milk both organic or regular. I find the rice milk better for smooties, and the other two for using as you do on cereals and in cooking.
Try oat milk and hot oatmeal with a dollop of either honey or molasses.

It’s pretty good, but it might take a little getting used to. If you like almonds, you’ll like the milk.
Did you know that you can make it yourself? Put about 2 cups of water and 1/2 cup of almonds (and a tablespoon of sugar if you like) in the blender.

I’ve only tried the chocolate and I really like it on cereal for a snack while I’m watching TV. Try it, I think that you will like it. If not, its not that expensive and you could always make pudding with it or let someone else try it.
